On behalf of the Lacombe County Council I would like to welcome not only our residents, but also those that are browsing this website from afar. It is our sincere hope that you will learn more about Lacombe County and all of its positive attributes.

Lacombe County is a very diverse municipality with the inclusion of many types of agricultural operations as well as a vibrant petrochemical and oil and gas industry. Although these industries are the backbone of the economy of this municipality it must be recognized that Lacombe County is very progressive and actively seeks new ventures to be located within the County.

Throughout this website you will have the opportunity to review many of the long range plans that have been implemented not only by this council, but councils of the past. We invite you to review and scrutinize these plans. The success of Lacombe County can be attributed to many of the plans that are in place and to the wisdom of previous councils to plan for the future while implementing direction provided by the majority of ratepayers. These are living documents of the County and upon their review we encourage all residents to participate in the process.

Lacombe County residents have the opportunity to live among a variety of natural recreational amenities, from lakes to ski resorts. For this we are most grateful for these amenities certainly add to the social lifestyle of our residents.

The future of Lacombe County looks promising and we look forward to a continuation of relationship building with all residents and businesses to ensure that we continue to live and work together in one of the best municipalities in Alberta.
