Ambulances services are provided throughout Lacombe County by three separate emergency services agencies:
Eckville & District Ambulance Service
- Ambulance station located in the Town of Eckville
- Jointly operated by the Town of Eckville and Lacombe County
- There are two ambulances operated by this ambulance service (one is for back-up), staffed by full-time, part-time and casual employees who provide Basic Life Support service
- Staff are contracted through the Lacombe Ambulance Service and regularly rotate between the two ambulance services
Lacombe Municipal Ambulance Service Association
- Ambulance station located in the Town of Lacombe
- Jointly operated by Lacombe County and the Town of Lacombe
- Ambulance services are contracted out to the communities of Blackfalds, Bentley, Alix and Clive, and the Summer Village of Gull Lake
- There are three ambulances operated by this ambulance service, staffed by full-time, part-time and casual paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
- Staff provide combined Advance Life Support and Basic Life Support service, as well as interfacility transfers for the David Thompson Health Region
Bashaw & District Ambulance Authority
- Ambulance station located in the Town of Bashaw
- Jointly operated by Lacombe County, the Town of Bashaw, Camrose County and Ponoka County
- There is one ambulance operated by this ambulance service
- Full-time, part-time and casual staff provide Basic Life Support service to the Town of Bashaw and surrounding Counties
