The Prentiss Transfer Station and Landfill Site is the largest transfer station. The Prentiss Transfer station is located 6.5 km east of the Town of Lacombe to the Prentiss Road, then south 4 kms on the Prentiss Road to the site which is on the east side of the road. The Prentiss Transfer Station is open 7-days per week (with the exception of some stat holidays) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Eckville Transfer Station is located just outside of the Town of Eckville north 5 kms on SH 766 to the Rainy Creek Road then go east 1 km. The transfer station is open Tuesday and Wednesday between 10am and 6pm, Saturdays between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (except stat holidays). The Bentley Transfer Station is located just on the west side of the Town of Bentley on the south side of Hwy 12. The transfer station is open Thursday and Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 2pm to 6pm (except stat holidays). The Spruceville (Gull Lake) Transfer Station is located 6 kms west of the Town of Lacombe on Hwy 12 then north on the D&M Road 1 km on the east side of the road. The transfer station is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm (except stat holidays). The Blackfalds transfer station is located on Hwy 2A in the Town of Blackfalds go east about .5km. It is on the south side of the road. The transfer station is open Thursday and Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 2pm to 6pm (except stat holidays). The Alix/Mirror Transfer station is located on the Alix north Road approximately 6km north of the Village of Alix. The transfer station is on the east side of the road. The transfer station is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 6pm (except stat holidays). If you have any questions on accepted waste at the transfer station you can call the site operator at 788-2365.

In July 2005 the Authority decided to take over the hauling of household garbage to West Dried Meat Lake Regional Landfill. There is two full time truck drivers who haul for the Authority. They transport all household garbage from all transfer stations to the landfill, haul the scrap metal to Harpers in Red Deer and the dry rubble to Prentiss Transfer Station from all of the satellite sites.

Fridges, deep freezes, air conditioners, water coolers, hot water tanks, stoves, washers, dryers, and dishwashers are white goods and are ONLY accepted at the Prentiss Transfer Station. There is a fee for the disposal of these goods.

Dry Rubble is accepted at the satellite sites (only quantities less than 499kg). All other dry rubble is to go to the Prentiss Transfer Station. There is also a charge/kg over 499kg.
