You might not think of ticks when you think of Lacombe County, but they are here! Recently, ticks were found in Soper Natural Area (east of Blackfalds). Do you know what to do if you find a tick on you, a family member, or a pet?

Lacombe County continues to make strides toward greater energy efficiency and long-term cost savings with recent solar expansions at its two satellite shop locations: the Tees Shop and the Rainy Creek Shop near Sylvan Lake. As of June 2025, Lacombe County’s Dog Control Bylaw (1438/25) has been modernized to provide clearer rules, better protect public spaces, and streamline enforcement. Key changes include:
