EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY | Fire Restriction in effect for Lacombe County

Effective July 18, 2024, a Fire Restriction is in effect for all of Lacombe County due to the prolonged period of hot weather. At this time, Lacombe County has cancelled current fire permits and has suspended any fire permit requests. We ask that ALL fires are extinguished until conditions improve.
What IS PERMITTED during a Fire Restriction?
- Safe wood campfires*
- Bylaw-compliant backyard fire pits
- Portable propane fire pits
- Gas or propane stoves and barbecues
- Catalytic or infrared-style heaters

Fire Advisory in place for Lacombe County

Beginning on July 10, 2024, a Fire Advisory is in place for all of Lacombe County due to high temperatures and a lack of expected precipitation in the coming days. These conditions are considered to be ideal "crossover" conditions, with high temperatures and low moisture creating extremely high-risk fire conditions.
