Lacombe County seeks paid-on-call firefighters to support local communities

As the school year begins and with Fire Prevention Week approaching, Lacombe County is putting out a call for new paid-on-call firefighters to bolster its fire departments. The need is especially pressing in the communities of Alix, Eckville, Bentley, and Clive, where daytime coverage is essential.

Trans Canada Trail grant helps keep Lacombe County trails in tip-top shape!

This summer, Lacombe County received a grant from the Trans Canada Trail through the National Trail Youth Employment Program. This grant enhanced our local section of the trail, ensuring it remains a vibrant part of Canada’s national trail network, by helping to offset the wages of two of our dedicated employeeswhose roles involve maintainingthe County’s trails, including County’s TCT trail sections.
