Lacombe County recognizes the achievement of 100-Year Farm Families within its boundaries, and endeavours to honour such an achievement by the presentation of an iron gate sign.
Policy RC(5) Recognition of Special Events
To be eligible:
Families that have farmed in Lacombe County for 100 years will be recognized provided that:
- members of the same family have farmed the land continuously for 100 years or more; and continue to own the land;
- the land is still being used for farming purposes.

The applicant must provide the following information:
Applicants are asked to provide a history of the subject property, describing when and how the property was homesteaded, chronicling all property name changes through the 100 years to the current owner's name. Please provide as much detail as possible. |

Lacombe County will recognize 100-year farms with an Iron Gate Sign. Please submit the Iron Gate Sign Request Form to Lacombe County's Executive Assistant. |
