The Opportunity County Manager Department | Permanent Full-Time Position | Monday - Friday| 8:30am - 4:30pm Lacombe County is currently recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented Records Management /FOIP Coordinator to take the lead in developing, implementing and overseeing the County’s Records & Information Management program. Additionally, the role also serves as the County’s FOIP Coordinator, ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. This pivotal role fosters a culture of transparency, accountability and efficiency across the organization. Your success in this role will be driven by your ability to collaborate effectively with all departments – providing guidance, building strong working relationships and ensuring consistent records management practices. Key Responsibilities Records & Information Management (RIM) • Develop, implement and oversee a comprehensive Records & Information Management program. Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) • Act as the County’s FOIP Coordinator providing training and expert guidance on compliance. Key Qualifications Technical • In-depth understanding of records management standards and procedures. • Ability to stay informed about evolving trends in records management, I.T. systems and privacy laws to ensure the County’s processes are current and compliant. Mower Operator - OPEN - Deadline: May 12, 2025 |
The Opportunity Community Services Department |Seasonal (Approx mid-June to mid-October) |Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 5:00pm Lacombe County is seeking a safety-conscious and dependable individual to join our team as a Mower Operator. The Mower Operator will be responsible for mowing the grass and weeds on municipal road allowances, as well as public and private lands within the County. This role requires the ability to operate mowing equipment effectively and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. The approximate term date for this 4 month position is mid-June to mid-October (weather dependent). Key Responsibilities • Under the direction of the Agricultural Field Operations Lead, operate a mower unit consisting of an all wheel drive tractor with a side arm and a deck mower in compliance with all safety regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others. Key Qualifications • Able to operate a tractor with a mower and perform light maintenance/servicing as required. Previous mowing experience is an asset. Why Lacombe County?
