Service Hand - OPEN - Deadline - March 31, 2025 |
The Opportunity Operations Department | Permanent Full-Time Position |Monday-Friday | 7:30am-5:30pm Lacombe County is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Hand to join our Operations Department. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Service Hand will work alongside the Road Mechanic, assisting with mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, including road construction and farm machinery. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who thrives in a hands-on environment and is committed to safety and teamwork. A valid Class 3 Alberta Driver’s License with a Q endorsement is required. Starting wage: $32.57/hr. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Road Mechanic with equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and performance checks. Key Qualifications • Technical Skills: Knowledge of the maintenance and service requirements of heavy equipment. Experience operating a fuel/lube truck is an asset. River Weed Inspector - OPEN |

The successful candidate will canoe the Blindman, Medicine, and Red Deer rivers, handpicking prohibited noxious and noxious weeds along sensitive areas near the riverbanks.
