We’re looking for candidates who are confident, approachable, and capable of effectively managing conflict while making sound, fact-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue violation tickets and lay charges in accordance with authorized statutes.
  • Provide friendly and informative education to the public relating to municipal bylaw services.

Key Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in a law enforcement related field, or a Grade 12 diploma supplemented with a

  • Traffic enforcement experience along with prior experience with community and/or school based programs is an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who currently meet all Public Safety and Emergency Services Peace Officer Program appointment requirements including successful completion of an approved physical test (i.e. P.A.R.E.). An acceptable Criminal Record Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
Candidates who do not yet meet these requirements but demonstrate strong potential may be considered,
provided they are eligible and willing to complete the necessary training and certificates.
  • Must possess valid and current first aid and CPR certificates. A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license is
required. Current Radar/Laser certification, completion of a Weights & Measures course, and mechanical
