Due to the Canada Post strike, Lacombe County is unable to mail utility bills, notices, or other important information to customers. We also will not be receiving mail from residents.

Here are things you need to know!

 Utility Customers
➡️ Utility Customers:
  • If you need a copy of your utility bill, we can print yours at the front desk or email you a copy. Please give us a call. Penalties for unpaid or late payments will not be waived
    • Utility bills are mailed in the beginning of every month and are due the last business day of every month.
    • You can come in, call in or email info@lacombecounty.com.
    • There is a 2% penalty for late payments.

➡️ Now’s a great time to set up an ESend account to receive your monthly utility bills by email. You can fill out a form online and set up an account today.

Subdivision/Development Applications

➡️ All decisions on subdivisions and development applications that require neighbouring landowner notice through mail delivery under the Municipal Government Act will be delayed as a result of the strike.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Planning Services team at 403-782-8389 or email them.

Assessment Request for Cost information

➡️ Over the past several months, Lacombe County has sent requests for a variety of information validation of property sales/transfers, re‑inspections, and vacancy/occupancy confirmation. Most recently, letters requesting information regarding potentially assessable machinery and equipment and/or costs associated with new construction were mailed.

➡️ If your response to a Request for Cost Information is received after December 16, you may not be able to make a complaint against your assessment in 2025.

➡️ You may email (info@lacombecounty.com), fax (403-782-3820), or drop your response off at the County Administration Office.

Property Assessments

➡️ Property Assessments were mailed out in early May, along with tax notices (this is a combined document).

➡️ Anyone wishing to appeal their assessment has 60 days from the notice of assessment date to do so. The complaint date is indicated on your notice of assessment.

➡️ If you have not received your property assessment by June 1, 2025, please contact Lacombe County's Assessment Department at 403-782-6601 or email assessment@lacombecounty.com.

Learn more about assessment.

➡️ If you have not received your tax notice by June 1, 2025, please contact Lacombe County at 403-782-6601 or email infor@lacombecounty.com.
