Due to the Canada Post strike, Lacombe County is unable to mail utility bills, notices, or other important information to customers. We also will not be receiving mail from residents.

Subdivision/Development Applications |
➡️ All decisions on subdivisions and development applications that require neighbouring landowner notice through mail delivery under the Municipal Government Act will be delayed as a result of the strike. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Planning Services team at 403-782-8389 or email them. |
Assessment Request for Cost information |
➡️ Over the past several months, Lacombe County has sent requests for a variety of information validation of property sales/transfers, re‑inspections, and vacancy/occupancy confirmation. Most recently, letters requesting information regarding potentially assessable machinery and equipment and/or costs associated with new construction were mailed. ➡️ If your response to a Request for Cost Information is received after December 16, you may not be able to make a complaint against your assessment in 2025. ➡️ You may email (info@lacombecounty.com), fax (403-782-3820), or drop your response off at the County Administration Office. |
Property Assessments |
➡️ Property Assessments were mailed out in early May, along with tax notices (this is a combined document). ➡️ Anyone wishing to appeal their assessment has 60 days from the notice of assessment date to do so. The complaint date is indicated on your notice of assessment. ➡️ If you have not received your property assessment by June 1, 2025, please contact Lacombe County's Assessment Department at 403-782-6601 or email assessment@lacombecounty.com. |
Tax Notices: Deadline August 31, 2025 |
➡️ Tax Payments: Municipal Tax Notices were mailed out in early May. The deadline to pay your taxes is August 31, 2025 (or the last business day). Late payments will included a 6% penalty added on September 1 for all taxes remaining unpaid after August 31. ➡️ If you have not received your tax notice by June 1, 2025, please contact Lacombe County at 403-782-6601 or email infor@lacombecounty.com. |

Contacting Lacombe County |

Notice of Inspection |
➡️ Lacombe County Municipal Assessors are reviewing and visiting properties throughout the municipality this year as required to verify property information ensuring accurate and equitable assessments – we appreciate your cooperation with data collection activities. Our Assessors carry identification and will present it upon request.
