Lacombe County is home to a number of beautiful parks, trails, day-use areas, and other hidden gems - and we want YOU to come out and enjoy them through our geocaching program. To help you explore Lacombe County, we have hidden 15 geocaches in our boundaries, at many County parks, communities, and trails that we are proud to offer. We hope that after you visit these parks once, that you will return to them for a longer stay!

What is Geocaching? |

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. |

What do I need to go geocaching? |
|
You will need a GPS device or a GPS-enabled phone so that you can navigate to the cache. You can also get a free Geocaching.com membership (if you want to find more than Lacombe County's caches), but we have posted the GPS Coordinates for our caches (below). Don't forget to bring a pen to sign the log book, and a small trinket to trade (if you want to). You'll find that geocaching is fun for the whole family! |
