Corporate Identity

What is corporate identity?

A Corporate Identity is a set of standards to guide all County communications that may be viewed by internal and external audiences. The program is designed to ensure that all applications of the Lacombe County logo are presented consistently and professionally, assisting in making the overall brand recognizable to all audiences.

What does the logo represent?

Twin sweeps join together to form a horizon, the green and blue representative of the landscape and natural resources of Lacombe County. The curve itself further suggests a grand, overarching canvas of Alberta sky. The horizon also contains a promise of what lies beyond: the Lacombe County logotype set in solid grey is symbolic of that future. Industry, activity and growth are built on and exist in harmony with the landscape of the Lacombe County horizon.

Public Engagement & Communications Action Plan

In 2018, Lacombe County Council approved a Public Participation Policy, which emphasizes the importance of meaningful public participation on different levels between Lacombe County and its stakeholders. In the Public Participation Policy, Lacombe County committed to:

  • Informing, consulting, and engaging the public about decisions that affect them and providing public participation opportunities that are open and transparent.
  • Considering the public's input gathered in public participation processes.
  • Working together with the public to continuously improve its public participation processes.

In 2019, the County ran a survey (online and in the County News) for property owners. This survey had several goals:

  • To find out how you want to engage with Lacombe County, and how you want to get involved with public engagement and public participation opportunities.
  • To find out where you want to access County content, including news releases, Council decisions, notices, project updates, funding opportunities, videos and pictures, available services, etc.
  • To find out how our current information is accessed, used and understood, so that we can build on the topics and channels of communication for our ratepayers.

You can see the findings in the Public Engagement and Communications Action Plan.
