NEW FOR 2025 Lacombe County must maintain a permanent elector register, commonly referred to as a voters list. This register is created using information provided by Elections Alberta. To save time on election day, ensure you are registered to vote in advance by visiting www.voterlink.ab.ca or calling 780-427-7191.

 Eligibility to Vote

You are eligible to vote if you:

  • are at least 18 years old;
  • are a Canadian citizen; and
  • your place of residence is located in the local jurisdiction where you are voting on election day (example: you reside in Lacombe County).
Voter Identification & Requirements

In order to vote, you must prove your identity and address.

Electors may vote after producing government issued identification containing:

  • the elector’s photograph
  • current address
  • name

Electors who are unable to produce government issued identification, must produce one piece of identification (as approved by Chief Electoral Commissioner under the Election Act) that establishes a person name and current address.

If you are only living in Lacombe County temporarily (example: just for the school year) and you normally live in another community, plan to return home to vote or contact your home municipality for voting options.

All voters must be on the permanent Electors Registry. Voters are encouraged to register in advance to speed up the voting process at the polling station.

Go to voterlink.ab.ca to register to vote or confirm your information is correct. If you are not registered ahead of time, electors will be required to register in person at the polling station and will be required to sign a declaration.

Voters who are not registered prior to the production of the permanent elector register will be permitted to register at the Voting Station.

Important Dates

Advanced Voting days: October 14-18, 2025

Election Day: October 20, 2025

Find a Voting Station

Eligible voters can cast their vote at a voting station of their choice during the Advance Vote or on Election Day. Locations will be posted to this site closer to Election Day.
