Lacombe County Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw 1267/18 to redesignate approximately 64.47 hectares (159.31 acres) on Pt. NW ¼ Sec. 14-41-28-W4M from Agricultural ‘A’ District to Recreation ‘PR’ District, Residential Conservation Cluster ‘R-RCC’ District, and Higher Density Residential ’R-HDR’ District. 

The zoning change has been requested to allow for the development of a 100-lot residential community (40 R-RCC lots and 60 R-HDR lots) and a 9-hole golf course.

Lacombe County Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw 1341/21 on July 8, 2021 to redesignate 10.00 acres (4.05 hectares) of land legally described as Block 5 Plan 982 4269, Pt. NE 01-41-01-W5M, within the development known as Sandy Point RV Resort, located on the west side of Gull Lake. The lands were rezoned from Recreation ‘PR’ District to Recreational Vehicle Resort ‘R-RVR’ District, to allow the developer to expand the recreation equipment storage compound on the property.
