EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY | Burn Pit Notice

Please be advised that, Effective Immediately, the Burn Pits at our Eckville, Bentley, and Alix/Mirror Transfer Station will no longer accept tree trunks, stumps, or branches over 6 inches (15.25 cm) in diameter and over 8 feet (2.4 metres) in length. Please dispose of these materials at the Prentiss Landfill. All pieces must be under 8 feet (2.4 m) long.

• Material less than 6 inches (15.25 cm) in diameter must be less than 8 feet (2.4 metres) long to be accepted at these sites.
• Tree trunks, stumps, and branches over 6 inches in diameter must be taken to the Prentiss Landfill. All pieces must be under 8 feet (2.4 m) long.
• The Burn Pits at Eckville, Bentley, and Alix/Mirror will still accept dimensional unpainted, untreated wood waste under 8 feet (2.4 metres) in length.
• Sawdust, leaves, cardboard, furniture, and plywood are not accepted at the Burn Pits and must be placed in the appropriate on-site bins. Please see the attendant for guidance on which bin you can put your material in.
