Celebrating Excellence in Agriculture: Lacombe County in search of the 2026 Farm Family Award recipient

Lacombe County and the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce are partnering for a fourth year on the Farm Family of the Year Award, aiming to recognize the exceptional achievements and contributions of ranch and farm families within our community. The winners of this esteemed award will be announced at the 2026 Chamber Gala in October.

“Our farm families are at the heart of what makes Lacombe County such a strong and vibrant community,” said Reeve John Ireland. “This award is a great way to shine a light on the people who put so much care and effort into their operations and give back to our rural way of life. I’d encourage folks to take a moment to nominate a family who really stands out—it’s a meaningful way to recognize the impact they’re making every day.”

The Farm Family of the Year Award acknowledges excellence in technical farm production and sustainability practices, family farm business management, agricultural industry involvement, and community and rural citizenship. This recognition highlights the remarkable accomplishments of ranch and farm families who have made significant contributions to the agricultural sector.
