CONSTRUCTION NOTIFICATION | Road Closure and Detour for Bridge Construction

Lacombe County will begin bridge replacement work on Bridge File 1177, located at SE 1-40-25 W4M (Haynes Creek), starting August 11, 2026. As part of this project, a section of Lakeside / Sargent Road (Twp Rd 40-0) will be closed to through traffic and accessible to local traffic only. The road closure is necessary to safely complete the demolition and construction of the new bridge.

The project is expected to be completed by September 18, 2026, weather permitting. Detour routes will be clearly marked, and signage will be in place to guide motorists around the construction area. Lacombe County reminds all drivers to obey posted signage and use caution when travelling in the area.
