Highway 50 rail crossing rehabilitation to close road in Mirror on Nov. 12

Motorists are advised that Highway 50 in Mirror will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. while CN Rail completes railway crossing rehabilitation work. The closure is required to allow for rehabilitation of the railway crossing and associated excavation work.

A detour will be in place via Range Road 231. Only local traffic travelling to destinations between Range Road 231 and Range Road 223B will be permitted through the soft closure. All other motorists will be required to use the posted detour route.

Portable message boards will be placed in advance of the closure to notify motorists, and personnel will be on-site to assist travellers.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
