PUBLIC HEARING | Reserve Land Designation (Bylaw 1464/26)

Lacombe County is holding a PUBLIC HEARING to hear your feedback on the proposed bylaw changes that would update lands designated as Reserve under previous iterations of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) to the appropriate designation under the current MGA and designate lands which are currently being managed as Municipal Reserve, Environmental Reserve, and Public Utility Lot to the appropriate designation.

Bylaw 1464/26 will direct the management of County lands by clarifying the land’s intended use, and bring additional legislative support to Policy RC(8) and Bylaw 1398/23.

Participate in the public hearing to voice your opinion. There are 3 ways you can provide input!

  1. Attend and speak in person:
    Lacombe County Office, Council Chambers. Located 2.5 miles west of Highway 2 at the intersection of Spruceville Road (Range Road 27-4) and Highway 12.

  2. Attend and speak virtually:

  3. Provide written comments:
    If you are unable to attend the Public Hearing, but want to provide input, send your comments to

Public Hearing Purpose: A Public Hearing presents the proposed bylaw, and gives members of the public an opportunity to speak to Council about it and provide input before adoption. Your input is valued and encouraged.Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed bylaw changes will have an opportunity to do so at the Public Hearing.
