Heavy rainfall has significantly impacted gravel roads across Lacombe County. Motorists can expect soft, muddy surfaces and challenging driving conditions.

All gravel roads in Lacombe County are currently in poor condition. Crews will begin work as soon as conditions improve enough to allow safe equipment operation.

Until then, please use caution when driving and adjust travel plans accordingly.

Lacombe County will be undertaking road construction projects on Township Road 39-2 and Range Road 27-0 this summer. Motorists are advised to expect construction activity and possible traffic delays in these areas. 

Location: Township Road 39-2, from the junction of Range Road 24-0 east to Haynes Road (3 miles). 

Construction Start: Monday, July 13, 2026
Duration: Approximately 9 weeks (weather permitting)
Estimated Completion: September 14, 2026 

Location:  Range Road 27-0, from the junction of Township Road 40-0 north to Township Road 40-2 (2 miles). 

Construction Start: Monday, July 20, 2026
Duration: Approximately 6 weeks (weather permitting)
Estimated Completion: August 31, 2026

Residents and motorists are asked to use caution when travelling through construction zones and obey all posted signage. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these improvements.
