Lacombe County has completed its 2025 paving and road maintenance program, with approximately 29 kilometres of roads repaved or newly constructed this year.

This year’s paving program included:

  • Sunbreaker Cove Boat Launch Road (RR 2-2) – 2.122 km

  • Sandy Point Access Road – 2.088 km total (main access, beach access, and south parking lot)

  • Prentiss Road (RR 26-0) – 6.640 km

  • Tees and McLaurin subdivisions – 1km for each.

In addition, Range Road 2-4 (Eagle Quay Subdivision) received 6.728 km of new base work and fresh pavement, providing a smoother, longer-lasting surface for residents and visitors.

Alongside our paving program, the Chip Sealing Program was also completed this summer. Work was carried out on:

  • Last Hill Road – 3.2 km

  • Nova Chemicals East (to Highway 815) – 1.6 km

  • 34th Street (Lacombe Boundary to Hwy 2A & Twp. Rd. 41-1 to the bridge) – 2.1 km

These projects are part of Lacombe County’s commitment to maintaining safe, reliable roads across the region. Thank you to residents and drivers for their patience during construction season!
