PUBLIC HEARING | Gadsby Lake Recovery Centre (1)

Lacombe County is holding a PUBLIC HEARING to hear your feedback on a proposed Land Use Bylaw change that would allow the County to consider a special discretionary use for a ‘recovery centre’ on the N ½ 22-41-23-W4M. This request has been submitted by Dr. Ravi Chandiramani, the applicant. The property is located on the north side of Gadsby Lake, north west of the Hamlet of Mirror.

The public hearing is set for Monday, November 18, starting at 7PM. Please visit www.lacombecounty.com/gadsby-lake-recovery-centre for full details of the the proposed bylaw, transcripts from the public meeting, and participation options.

The development proposal includes a recovery centre for men and women run by Dr. Ravi Chandiramani. The existing dwellings would be converted to be used as a recovery centre for a maximum of 10 clients per building, for 20 clients total on the site. A Land Use Bylaw amendment is required prior to the applicant seeking a development permit from the County.

A transcript of the applicant’s previous public meeting where community members had an opportunity to ask questions of the applicant and get more information on the proposed development is available on our website: www.lacombecounty.com/gadsby-lake-recovery-centre.
