Alberta motorists are no strangers to how treacherous the roads become when the snow starts falling, especially on highways. 

In response to growing community needs, Lacombe County is pleased to announce an increase in funding for Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) by $30,000 for the 2025 fiscal year.

This fall, Lacombe County was honoured to receive the Friends of Education Award for Zone 4 following our nomination by Wolf Creek Public Schools.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the School Resource Officer (SRO) partnership between Lacombe County and Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS), which has proved to be a collaborative journey to support students and create safer school environments across Lacombe County.

A new weight restriction has been implemented on the bridge east of Lacombe, near Tees, on Highway 50 due to recent structural assessments. 

Lacombe County Fire Service reminds residents that although fire permits are not required between November 1 and February 28, there are still crucial safety expectations for any controlled burns conducted outside of the official fire season.
