Effective immediately, Lacombe County’s Fire restriction has been lifted, thanks to the ongoing moisture conditions that have improved within the area.

Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, together with AECOM, are hosting a public open house to share information about the Highway 20 Twinning Functional Planning Study between Highway 11 and Highway 12. 

After carefully considering feedback received from the community at the public hearing, County Council gave second and third reading (final adoption) to Bylaws 1406/24 and 1407/24. 

In a move that aligns with its financial planning and policy commitments, Lacombe County has officially approved the tax rates for the year 2024, as outlined in the 2024 Tax Rate Bylaw. 

In Alberta, eligible farmers can now obtain a Farm Restricted Class 1 driver's license.

Lacombe County is holding a PUBLIC HEARING to hear your feedback on the proposed bylaw changes that would update lands designated as Reserve under previous iterations of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) to the appropriate designation under the current MGA and designate lands which are managed as Municipal Reserve, Environmental Reserve, and Public Utility Lot to the appropriate designation.
