The December edition of County News is now available and highlights a busy and impactful end to the year in Lacombe County. 

Lacombe County recognized the Medicine River Watershed Society as the recipient of the 2025 Environmental Stewardship Award during the December 11, 2025 Council Meeting. 

Lacombe County was selected as a recipient of the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) Grant, receiving $6,300 to support Changes in the Natural World: A Citizen Science Project.

Lacombe County proudly announces that County Manager Tim Timmons, CLGM, has been awarded the R.W. Hay Award for Rural Administrative Excellence by the Rural Municipalities of Alberta and the Society of Local Government Managers. 

Lacombe County Council has approved the County’s 2026 operating and capital budgets, following a detailed review at the November 25, 2025, Budget Meeting.

Lacombe County is selling a 2015 Ram 3500 4WD Flatdeck Pick Up truck. Auction closes on December 4, 2025 at 6:00PM.

Thanks to the moisture from the recent snow, Lacombe County has removed the Fire Ban and all fire restrictions in Lacombe County. While this change reflects improved conditions, residents are urged to exercise extreme caution and prioritize fire prevention at all times.
