Every year, the County reviews our Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw to ensure these documents remain updated and aligned with our community’s vision for the future.
As a part of our commitment to open, transparent, and collaborative decision-making, each year, the County critically assesses all policies of the Municipal Development Plan to ensure they continue to support their intended objective. The County also keeps tracks of public submissions that are addressed through the review.
These results are published in a public-facing annual review report. The findings of the report, with Council direction, are used to draft bylaw amendments, leading to continuous improvement and fine-tuning of our policies every year.
The public is notified of how they can submit input through the public hearing process. Information on this year’s annual review will appear in the Current Projects page once the process begins.
