Off-Highway Vehicle Use

Off-Highway Vehicle Use in Lacombe County is directed by Off-Highway Vehicle Bylaw 1137/11.

Lacombe County is home to numerous areas prone to environmental degradation. For instance, Gull Lake has a unique topographical profile which allows for quick riparian damage in the lake's immensely wide riparian areas.

Currently, there are three designated trails that allow access to the lake via off-highway vehicles (OHVs) for residents and visitors. These trails are located in the communities of New Saratoga, Wilson's Beach and McLaurin Beach. You can review the map of trails here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Community Services Department at 403-782-8959 or email info@lacombecounty.com.
