Fire Services Cost Recovery

Pursuant to the County's Fire Protection and Emergency Response Bylaw and Fire Protection and Emergency Response Policy, residents and businesses utilizing fire department services will receive an invoice for these services in accordance with the County's Rates and Fees Bylaw. 

Specifically, what this means is that Lacombe County residents and businesses will be charged for fire department responses to:

• Motor vehicle collisions and vehicle fires 
• Structure fires
• Outdoor fires
• Grass fires
• False alarms
• Rescues
• Etc.

These charges are typically covered by insurance. We strongly encourage you to check with your insurance company to confirm you have sufficient coverage BEFORE an emergency occurs.
