Recycling Options

There are several recycling stations that County residents can access, managed by Lacombe Regional Waste Services Commission. There are recycling stations located at the Alix/Mirror and Eckville transfer sites, as well as in the City of Lacombe, Bentley, Alix, Eckville, Mirror, and Summer Villages.

**October 1, 2026 - Easier Recycling now at County Depots**

Residents who use Lacombe County recycling depots will benefit from a new single-stream recycling system as part of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program, which is managed by Circular Materials

Instead of sorting recyclables by material type, residents will be able to place all accepted recyclables in the same bin. Materials will then be sorted at a specialized processing facility. This change will make depot recycling quicker, easier, and more accessible for residents.

The new program also expands the list of accepted recyclable materials, helping residents recycle more items than ever before.

County recycling depots are located at:

• Eckville Transfer Station
• Bentley Transfer Station
• Wolf Creek Recycle Centre (City of Lacombe)
• Alix/Mirror Transfer Station

Residents can visit LRWSC.ca or Circular Materials' website (www.circularmaterials.ca) for a complete list of accepted materials and recycling information.

For more information, please call the office. Drop off locations can also be found on the lrwcs.ca website under recycling.

Each site accepts specific waste and recycled items, so make sure to know what is accepted before you go.
