Request for Information (RFI) Package

Lacombe County uses Request for Information (RFI) forms to ensure property assessments are accurate, fair, and up-to-date. Completing these forms assists the County’s assessors by providing important information about property characteristics, improvements, and land use. This helps minimize the need for physical property inspections and reduces inconvenience for property owners.

Lacombe County Assessment Department is required to maintain accurate and up-to-date information about each property within the County.  Accurate data ensures property assessments provide a solid foundation for the equitable distribution of the taxes. Property taxes are the primary revenue source of funding for the services the County provides.

County Assessors collect information in a number of ways:

  • Property site visits
  • Industry sources (land transfers, multi-listing services, developers, builders, appraisers)
  • Safety Code permits
  • Requests for information (RFI) delivered to property owners may include
    • Sales Validation (Residential & Non-Residential)
    • Residential Property
    • Non-Residential Property (Campgrounds, Mobile Home Parks, Self-Storage, Comm/Industrial)
    • Construction Cost
