Water and Wastewater

Lacombe County staff are contracted to provide support to several regional water/wastewater commissions. Currently we have three Utility Operators, who are part of the Community Services Department.  We manage the billing and payments of the water and wastewater for County residents and businesses connected to the systems below.

QEII West Lacombe Business Park Water and Wastewater Bylaw

Regional Water & Wastewater Commissions in Lacombe County

The Highway 12/21 Regional Water Services Commission provides water services to Camrose County (including the Hamlets of Ferintosh, Duhamel and New Norway), Lacombe County (including the Hamlet of Mirror), the Town of Bashaw, Village of Alix, Village of Clive, and Village of Edberg.

The North Red Deer River Water Services Commission provides water services to the City of Lacombe, Lacombe County (Aspelund Industrial Business Parks and Lacombe West Joint Economic Subdivision and Wildrose Subdivision), Ponoka County, the Town of Blackfalds, and the Town of Ponoka.

The North Red Deer Regional Wastewater Services Commission provides wastewater services to the City of Lacombe, Lacombe County (Aspelund Industrial Business Parks and Lacombe West Joint Economic Subdivision and Wildrose Subdivision), and the Town of Blackfalds.

The Sylvan Lake Regional Water and Wastewater Commission provides wastewater services to Lacombe County (Subdivisions of Blissful Beach and The Slopes), Red Deer County, the Town of Sylvan Lake, Summer Village of Birchcliff, Summer Village of Half Moon Bay, Summer Village of Jarvis Bay, Summer Village of Norglenwold, and Summer Village of Sunbreaker Cove. The Commission also provides a septage receiving station for commercial effluent haulers at its liftstation located at #7 Sylvarie Close.
