Public Works Shops

The Operations Department is responsible for the following:

• Roads - Seasonal Maintenance, Rehabilitation and construction, Signage
• Bridges & Culverts
• Gravel Resource Management 
• Fleet Operations

To accomplish this, Operations staff have access to several facilities, equipped with the tools, vehicles and supplies they need to get the job done!

Public Works Shop

The Public Works Shop is responsible for maintaining all County fleet and equipment. The operation of the equipment fleet is successful due to the organization and support of the maintenance and repair program of approximately 270 pieces of equipment. The shop personnel are instrumental in determining the proper equipment and getting the best price for our equipment fleet for all departments.

Satellite Shops

Lacombe County has two satellite shops – one west on Rainy Creek Road and one east near Tees. These shops help the County provide improved service to residents in the east and west areas.

By serving as a home base for Grader Operators who work in the outer areas of the County, these shops also save gas and reduce unnecessary travel time to and from the main Public Works shop to the worksite.
