Dust Control
Lacombe County provides an affordable dust control program that allows residents to apply for Calcium Chloride application in front of their homes or businesses.
If you are interested in having Calcium Chloride in front of your residence or place of business, please contact Cassandra at the County shop at 403-782-3567.
The ratepayer's 2025 cost-shared rate for two applications is $3.58 per linear meter, to a maximum of 200 meters. For a single application, the 2025 cost-shared rate is $1.79 per lineal meter. If you require more than 200 meters, the additional will not be cost-shared.
Please call or email us to get on the list for dust control. Payments are due before May 15th of each year.
**Note: The application of dust abatement may cause some possible effects, such as loss of vegetation. Lacombe County is not responsible for any claims or damages resulting from the application process.**
