Alberta Views RV & Golf Resort

On April 28, 2022, Council gave third reading to Bylaw 1368/22 to rezone approximately 61.95 hectares (153.07 acres) on Pt. NW 21-39-03-W5M to Recreation ‘PR' District.

This development was previously known as Last Hill Golf Course but is being remarketed under the new name Alberta Views RV and Golf Resort. The subject lands are accessed by Range Road 3-4, and are located north of the Town of Eckville.

1949561 Alberta Ltd. (the landowners, Bill and Carla MacLean) submitted the rezoning request in order to develop a 9-hole golf course, 100 recreational vehicle seasonal campsites, two 384 ft2 washrooms, 104 vehicle parking spaces, and an 80,000 ft2 fenced storage lot. Additionally, a playground, a small pool, 6 pickleball courts, and a trail to a water feature are proposed for amenities to complement the campground.

Rebel Energy Rezoning (Bylaw 1305/19)

At the November 7, 2019 meeting, Lacombe County Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw No. 1305/19, to change the zoning of approximately 13.68 hectares (9.11 acres) on Lot 15 Block 1 Plan 162 0927, adjacent to the Burbank Industrial park from Agricultural ‘A' District to Business Industrial ‘I-BI' District. The zoning change was requested by Rebel Energy Services Ltd. to facilitate an expansion to Rebel Energy Services Ltd.'s yard site.

Transand Rezoning Application (Bylaw 1300/19)

At the October 8, 2020 meeting, Lacombe County Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw No. 1300/19 which proposes to rezone approximately 60 hectares (148.81 acres) on Pt. SE 29-40-22-W4M, west of the Hamlet of Mirror, from Agricultural ‘A' District to Business Industrial ‘I-BI' District. This is being requested in order to facilitate a Dry Bulk Facility for the purposes of transporting and distributing frac sand.

Nursery Golf & Country Club (Bylaw 1266/18)

At the April 12, 2018 meeting, Lacombe County Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw No. 1266/18 to rezone SW 07-41-26-W5M, north of the City of Lacombe, from Agricultural "A" District to Recreation “PR" District. The rezoning request from The Nursery Golf Course & Country Club was to facilitate thirty-one (31) seasonal RV camping lots, a washroom/shower facility, and a caretaker suite. It is important to note that no subdivision is sought in this proposal.

Last Hill Golf Course & RV Park

At the July 6, 2017, meeting, County Council gave second reading to Bylaw No. 1247/17 which proposes a rezoning of Pt. NW 21-39-3-W5M to Recreation "P-R" District under the County's Land Use Bylaw.

The development proposal includes a driving range, 12-hole golf course, 100 recreational vehicle seasonal campsites (including two 384 square foot washrooms), 104 vehicle parking spaces and an 80,000 square foot storage lot. In order to accommodate the proposed campground, the applicant is seeking to redesignate the lands to Recreation "P-R" District. It is important to note, however, that no subdivision is sought in this proposal.

Procor Ltd. (Bylaw 1248/17)

At the August 10, 2017 meeting, County Council gave second reading, third reading and passed Bylaw No. 1248/17 which allows Procor Ltd. to rezone Lot 2 Block 1 Plan 992 4793, Pt. SW 9-39-25-W4M, west of the Hamlet of Joffre from Agricultural "A" District to Heavy Industrial "I-HI" District under the County's Land Use Bylaw in order to facilitate an expansion of the existing rail yard.

Sandhill Estates

On September 14, 2017 Lacombe County Council endorsed the Sandhill Estates Concept Plan, granted third reading to Bylaw 1236/17, and granted conditional subdivision approval for a new 14 lot Country Residential Estate subdivision.

The property was previously zoned Country Residential "R-CR" District and has now been rezoned to Country Residential Estate District "R-CRE" which allows for smaller lot sizes and individual services. The development which consists of lots ranging in size from 0.50 – 0.53 ha (1.25 – 1.33 ac) lies within the existing Burbank subdivision, south of the Town of Blackfalds.

Some of the features of the development include children's play equipment, a looped nature trail that meanders it's way throughout the wooded areas of the development to a constructed wetland. There will also be a 6 stall parking area at the trailhead for local residents and general public to access these amenities.

Summerland Leisure Park (Bylaw 1229/16)

On February 9, 2017, Lacombe County Council gave third reading to Bylaw 1229/16 regarding the application submitted by Summerland Leisure Park, located on Lot 1 Block 2 Plan 042 1375, Pt. NW 23-40-28-W4M south of Gull Lake requesting to rezone approximately 23.52 acres of land from Agricultural "A" District to Recreational "P-R" District under the County's Land Use Bylaw. A copy of the bylaw is attached.

Bylaw No. 1229-16-Summerland Leisure Park

Lykal Properties (Bylaw 1228/16)

At the November 10, 2016 meeting, Council gave second and third reading to Bylaw No. 1228/16 regarding Lykal Properties Ltd. request to rezone approximately 10.21 ha (25.23 acres) of land legally described as Lot 2 Plan 982 6294 located on Pt. NE 21-39-27-W4M, southwest of Blackfalds from Agricultural "A" to Business Industrial "I-BI".

Bylaw No. 1228-16-Lykal Properties

NE 29-38-25-W4M

At the January 14, 2016 meeting, Council gave second and third reading to Bylaw 1213/15 which allows for the redesignation of approximately 8 ha (19.77 acres) of land along the west side of NE 29-38-25-W4M from Agricultural "A" District to Industrial "I-HI" District. The purpose of this redesignation is to accommodate the development of a proposed new stormwater retention pond.

Hamlet of Mirror (Lots 4 to 9 Block 33 Plan 7159AI) (Bylaw 1215/15)

At the January 14, 2016 meeting, Council gave second and third reading to Bylaw 1215/15 which allows for the redesignation of Lots 4 to 9 Block 33 Plan 7159AI located in the Hamlet of Mirror from "H-PR" Public Recreation District to "H-C" Commercial District.

Hamlet of Mirror (Block 10 and Block 25)

At the October 22, 2015 meeting, Council gave second and third reading to Bylaw 1210/15 which allows for the redesignation of 16 County owned lots in the Hamlet of Mirror from "H-I" Industrial and "H-R1" Residential District to Public Utility Lots (PUL).

The purpose of this redesignation is to provide access to a sewer line that runs through the center of the lots on Block 10 and will also ensure that the lots on Block 25 can continue to act as an informal stormwater management area.

Bylaw No. 1210-15 - Hamlet of Mirror Block 10 and Block 25

South Aspelund industrial Park

Lacombe County Council gave third reading to Bylaw 1179/13 on June 27, 2013 which proposes to redesignate approximately 52.69 hectares (130.2 acres) on Pt. NW 21-39-27-W4M, just west of the Town of Blackfalds and adjacent to McLevin Industrial Park from Agricultural "A" to Business Industrial "I-BI" District. The proposed redesignation is to accommodate a 15 lot business industrial development.

Total Energy Services (TES) Investments Ltd. (Bylaw 1159/12)

Council gave third and final reading to Bylaw No. 1159/12 on October 11, 2012 to rezone approximately 58.87 hectares (145.48 acres) on Pt. SW 28-39-27-W4M, just west of the Town of Blackfalds and adjacent to Aspelund Industrial Park. The property is currently zoned Agricultural 'A' District and the Bylaw proposes to rezone it to Business Industrial 'I-BI' District to accommodate the development of eighteen(18) industrial lots in two (2) phases. The Concept Plan and supporting studies and documentation are attached.
